Lower Thames Street Inclusive Play Wall Design is part of a wider public realm upgrade located to the north of Thames River at the previously known as Fresh Wharf.

By the 1840s, the wharf was being used by schooners transporting fruit from the Canary Islands, Azores, and Mediterranean regions. Up to 60,000,000 would unload their cargo simultaneously at Fresh Wharf in London. The design took inspiration from the history and retrofitted the existing wall with interactive play elements, brightly colored painting, and sensory plants with the theme of orange. Colors and play elements are carefully considered to ensure visually impaired and blind children have multi-sensory play opportunities.
